Description

Our 1931-1933 Chevy pickup chassis is an exact reproduction of the original frame shape and size for the light-duty, short-wheelbase trucks of these years. Heavy gauge, fully boxed steel frame rails further strengthened with an X-member provide a solid foundation for a modern street rod. This chassis is also used under the 1931 and 1932 Chevy passenger cars. We can build yours with a traditional axle front end, or make it handle like a modern sports car with independent front and/or rear suspension systems. For an independent front, we recommend Kugel Komponents as it permits using the original core support and front fender braces. (Note: The Mustang II IFS is not recommended for this body due to the front fender-to-frame design which is similar to a ’32 Ford. Heidt's Superide also available.) In the rear, the triangulated 4-bar is a good choice given the size and weight of these cars.

The following describes our 'standard' Complete Rolling Package that can be used as a starting point for planning your custom build. Each chassis is built to your specs and we can typically accommodate special requests or build features - just ask!
