Description

Our 1934 and 1935 Chevy Standard chassis are designed to work under our fiberglass bodies or original steel. While not an exact reproduction of the original, all original 1934-35 Chevy Standard steel bodies and most other reproduction bodies will mount up without issue. The most notable enhancement we have made is pinching the rear frame rails inward approximately 2” on each side. When combined with mild wheel tubs, larger rear tires can be accommodated. Our frame rail has also been squared off and made a little deeper in the center of its length for added strength and a uniform look.

We can build yours with a traditional axle front end, or make it handle like a modern sports car with independent front and/or rear suspension systems. For an independent front, the Heidt's Mustang II is a good choice for both value and high-performance but an upgrade to a Kugel Komponents or Heidts Superide IFS is available for even more 'show and go'. In the rear, we spec this car with a triangulated 4-bar which works great for this size street rod. Leaf springs and/or air bags are optional upgrades.

The following describes our 'standard' Complete Rolling Package that can be used as a starting point for planning your custom build. Each chassis is built to your specs and we can typically accommodate special requests or build features - just ask!
