1934 Chvey 3-Window Fenderless Coupe Roller
Click photo to zoom and open slide-show
While Ford's Deuce gets all the attention, many feel the 1934-1935 Chevrolet Standard Coupe has better lines, and of course, a Bow Tie graces its hood. Our body is built to stock dimensions and is available in the original, stock height or a 3-inch chop. Several different hood and grill treatments are available, including our new laid-out grill shown below on the orange high-boy. Our fenderless, 'high-boy' roller mates our hand made body to a custom 1931 Chevy chassis also built at our facility. We can use our reproduction ’34-'35 Chevy chassis, but we recommend using our reproduction ’31 Chevy chassis when going fenderless which has nice straight rails, an attractive front frame horn, and a slightly longer wheelbase. The ’34 chassis, left in its stock form, is not particularly attractive when the fenders are removed.
Our "34x31" Lowboy adds a 1.5" body channel over the '31 frame mentioned above. Coupled with our custom, smooth hood sides, and maybe the laid-out grill, you get sharp hot hod not seen at every show. Channeling up to 4" is available.
We can through these options as needed when finalizing the specs for your custom build. The pricing and spec for either frame will be the same as listed below. There are several choices of suspension styles and frame customizations depending on the look you are going for, and most of those options are listed below. Once your chassis has been built we then assemble your body directly on it rather than using a fixture. This insures that the body is precisely fit to the chassis it will live on and yields better door fit and gap alignment.
Our body is hand-laid in our facility using 3 layers of 1.5oz fiberglass mat plus stiffening core mat added to most panels. We then add a comprehensive steel structure inside the body, install the doors and decklid, install the power windows, and deliver to you a body ready to bolt down to your chassis. It includes the following:
3" Chop or Stock height
Body from the cowl back with firewall, floor, garnish moldings, doors and deck lid (hinged and mounted.
Power windows, with glass, installed. Rear glass provided but not installed.
Steel inner structure installed at firewall, dashboard, door posts, and throughout interior of body.
